Cables for -60°C Applications

Home / NEWS / Headlines / Cables for -60°C Applications

Teldor has recently announced new fiber optic cable designs for application in arctic conditions. Stable optical performance of the fibers is maintained down to -60°C and the cable can be installed and handled at -45°C.

These cables can be supplied with a corrugated steel armor for direct burial applications, with a single or double jacket for duct installation, or as an All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) cable.

All materials incorporated in these cables have been thoroughly tested for long term endurance at low and high temperatures.

A variety of optical fibers are offered including Singlemode (ITU-T G.652/G.655/ G.657) and Multi-mode 50/125µm (OM2, OM3 and OM4) and 62.5/125µm (OM1 and OM2) types.
