Teldor to Supply FiberOptic Cables in KDN Advanced Data Center
Teldor Cables & Systems, alongside its local partner Amiran Communications, has been chosen to supply the FiberOptic cables to be used in KDN's up-scale data-center and storage network to be installed in a new 4-story office building in Nairobi. KDN (Kenya Data Networks) is a Full Service, Data Communications Carrier and Public Data Network Operator, with a mission to build world-class infrastructure in Kenya.
The entire infrastructure will be based on FiberOptic components: Teldor cables, MPO connectors etc. The entire building will serve both local businesses as well as international companies and therefore is designed for high-end performance and reliability.
Among KDN's reasons for choosing Teldor as its FiberOptic cable manufacturer were:
- Flexibility – ease of changing the type of connecting hardware
- Scaleability – easily adding new cores and new networks segments to the Data Center, being able to expand
- Minimum Insertion Loss
- Maintenance – easily adding new customers and making changes to customer profiles
In addition to its recognition of the excellent products from Teldor, KDN has come to appreciate Amiran’s expertise and devotion. From design all the way to the successful implementation, and the complete setup of the Data Center and FiberOptic distribution, through to customer post sale support and Service Level Agreement, Amiran Communications has provided a complete solution for KDN.
